*EDIT* You know, besides an opinion, I do have art, really! I actually have more artworks than stamps. And I think I can say my art's worth looking at~ Here's my challenge. Look at at least one other non-stamp related image in my gallery.

Yaoi, yuri, slash, traps... my view of this applies to any of these concepts.

Again I'm not here to judge you. I'm here to give you scripture; it's part of my ministry. I know this is an extremely sensitive subject and that I'm going to get soooo flamed for it. Guess I foresaw it. I brought up the subject. Though, I will direct you guys to some awesome scripture that you really should read. If I find more references, I'll definitely post more.

Let me elaborate a bit further about what I mean by this stamp. I'm not hating on any yuri/yaoi lovers here, I promise. I'm only here to tell you that you can't follow what the world claims to be 'love' (which is often confused with lust; the two are not the same) and be a Christian at the same time. You know, a person can't be the servant of two masters; the metaphor means that you can't serve God and a worldly principle. Is yaoi/homosexuality a worldly principle? Yes, based on the aforementioned scripture. These passages clearly state that homosexuality is a sin. If you consider homosexuality relating to genes or chemical reactions in this discussions, I would say that I would press my point yet still. We're all born with a sinful nature, and this would be no different. I'm not sure that there is such a gene, and I believe that there is no such thing. Anyway, let's say that you are a yaoi fan and you read the Bible, pray, go to church, confess your sins, and worship. By reading the Bible, do you notice what love is? It's an unconditional relationship between one person and another, similar to our relationship between us and God. We make sacrifices in love, and you must be ready to give up your life for that individual. Love isn't just a relationship between husband and wife, it's also friends, relatives, neighbors... everyone! Read 1 Corinthians 13... It's a beautiful passage about what love is. People can be perfectly capable of loving each other without having sex with each other, or even marrying the same gender. Let's move on to marriage. A relationship between a husband and wife is supposed to represent, knowingly or no, Christ's relationship with the church. If not, then the marriage will inevitably fail, as evidenced by the thousands of seemingly pristine marriages that dead-end with a divorce. Christ is the head, and the church is the body. Similarly, the husband is the head, and the wife is the body of the household. The husband is obliged to love for, respect, and care for the wife, and the wife should be submissive, caring for the husband, and caring for children, and both should care for the family.

Yaoi is a concept of the world that has no fit, or compatibility in God's kingdom. It's an appeal to pleasure, to man's most basic desires and behavior. Like all sins, it's man's attempt to fill the God-shaped hole in our hearts that only God can satisfy. Can God and homosexuality coexist? No, because homosexuality is against God's character. It's a worldly passion, as stated in Romans 1 and Colossians 3.

I don't have all the answers, because I'm only human. I'll try my best to answer your questions/arguments, but do not be surprised if I turn to others for help. Usually it will be for issues I don't understand completely. For example, a commenter brought up Ancient Greek words. Now I don't know much of ancient Greek, although I've been introduced to Greek in the epistles, and my pastor knows a LOT more than I do. I'll be turning to him as well as other Christians, too. Again I'm not perfect and don't have all the answers. Sometimes, takes me a while before I can formulate my responses because I have to research people's claims.

I think I owe you guys an explanation of why I personally don't like yaoi. First, because of my faith, as explained in the above paragraphs. Second, I find it a bit creepy. Third, I really don't think it's aesthetic at all, as an art form; it's not appealing to mainstream audiences at all. However, I can see how it can appeal to some audiences. From what I've seen, it only appeals to certain groups, some fangirls, the yaoi loving gay anime viewers, and others. I hope I'm not sounding insulting! Fifth, can't guys just be friends with guys and girls be friends with girls, not making out? With fanart, can't the characters be paired with the characters the creators intended, or just left alone altogether? Can't OC's be made straight as well? Another thing I should have pointed out is that based upon what I've seen and read, yaoi is a totally unrealistic and utterly false depiction of guys. Almost none of the behavior, actions, and feelings of guys depicted in yaoi is representative of guys at all. Guys are so much different than that. Trust me. I'm a natural-born guy and I know that it's totally inaccurate and borderline insulting of men. It is because of this that this form of art can be a sort of softcore pornography for girls (and guys, too) because it makes guys out to be something they aren't and it allows readers/viewers to fantasize over it sexually and emotionally. That's precisely what the definition of pornography is.
